Some Researchers such as Harvard’s Steven Pinker suggests that boys, naturally, fall in the tail of the distribution (and in the lower tail) regarding intrinsic aptitude. This however is due to socialization. The more we don’t allow girls to push their limits, the more we allow them to be orderly instead of unruly, the more we don’t explicitly tell them they are mathematicians, scientists and great intellectuals, the more we pull them from this tail on the distribution. Let’s allow girls to be rebels, to be different, to be brave, to be champions. This is where it all begins – in what we do and say from the start of a girls life. @melindafrenchgates
