Instead of buying your children all the things you never had, you should teach them all the things you were never taught. Material wears out but knowledge stays. — Bruce Lee

The best thing a human being can do is to help another human being know more. — Charlie Munger

Letters to My Daughters are short, heart-felt notes of wisdom to myself, you, my children and your children. They stem from a desire to give the next generation something I wish I had earlier in my life: mindset guidance that can help people craft a successful life without sacrificing health and happiness.

I use the word sacrifice because I know too many people who have it all on the outside, but struggle with their relationships, wellbeing and happiness.

We all know it doesn’t have to be that way. With the right mindset, inner and outer success can coexist.

What’s great about these letters is that anyone can benefit from them: young or old, rich or poor, recent grad or seasoned professional, single or married, parent or not. There’s at least one idea in each of these letters that relates to something someone might be struggling with. Writing them has helped me and my guess is that they’ll help you, too, as you make your life a masterpiece.

At the age of 87, Italian painter and sculptor Michaelanglo said: “Ancora Imparo which translates to “I am still learning”.

Similarly, I don’t have all the answers, yet through my professional research, discussions with thought leaders on my podcast, yoga training, and an unrelenting desire to learn about how to live an outsized life, I offer ideas that can inspire us to take pause, feel our best and rise.

These letters cover a broad range of topics from learning how to find daily joy to embracing discomfort to tapping into the unique genius that is resides within all of us. There’s something in here for everyone.

Welcome to Letters to my Daughters.
